Caring for Kids is an all volunteer organization helping kids in need in Lakewood, Steilacoom and University Place. We are a 501c3 through the Exchange Club of Tacoma Foundation.
Caring for Kids 2007 Accomplishments
- School Supply Bank at Lakes High School - 785 kids served
- Clothing Bank – 835 kids served
- Holiday Fair – 2, 305 kids and their families served
- Ready to Learn Fair – 1,467 kids served
- New books distributed – 3,100
- Dental kits distributed – 3,025
- Emergency food – 137 families
- Furniture – 83 families
In partnership with Comcast and Communities in Schools:
- Growing Up is Fun bags distributed to 498 low income preschool families
